The HVR-Z1U

The HVR-Z1U is a new HDV 1080 camcorder from Sony that can record HDV, DVCAM and DV images at 60i, 50i, 30, 25 or 24 frames per second, in either SD or HD.

I mentioned Sony's HVR-Z1J Nov 10 which was announced with the HVR-M10J, from my limited translation skills I believe the HVR-Z1U is the HVR-Z1J (did I get a letter wrong). Just in case it is not, other features of the HVR-Z1U camcorder include use of three Super HAD, 1/3-inch, 16:9 native CCDs. Combined with a 12X Optical Zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens and Sony's new 14 bit A/D with Digital Extended Processor (DXP.
