Sony Japan has announced the VGN-U71P to their Vaio U series line -- the VGN-U71P will be available Dec 6 for about 199,800 Yen. I guess the introduction of this new model should dispel the rumors about the U50/U70 models not doing well in Japan. The new mobile PC "VGN-U71P" features Windows XP Professional (SP2) operating system, 1.1 GHz Pentium M processor, 30GB hard drive, 800x600 dot (SVGA) touch panel screen, IEEE 802.11b/g and 512MB of RAM. To make sure you do more reading the VGN-U71P will have the ebook reading software SONY LIBRIe LE
