SONY HDV cam coder

SONY has announced a new HDV cam coder (HVR-Z1J) and new HDV recorder(HVR-M10J) bundle. Both the HVR-Z1J & HVR-M10J adopt the HDV1080i system which allow for High definition recording to the dv tape -- making HD playback possible, in addition to that playback SD environment, DVCAM system and, DV (SP) record playback are also possible.

The HVR-Z1J features both NTSC & Pal capabilities, F = 4.5 - 54mm, 6 mm (1/3 types) 3CCD image sensor, 112 000 pixels. The HVR-M10J key features include 3.5-inch widescreen LCD, i.Link, Component, Composite, S-Video, and analog audio connectors, NTSC & Pal capabilities. The HVR-Z1J measures 180x219.4x72.7mm and weighs approximately 1.8kg.

The HDV cam coder 'HVR-Z1J' will be available January 21st 2005 for about 630,000 Yen & the HDV recorder 'HVR-M10J' will be available February 4th 2005 for about 420,000 Yen
