It turns out the very unreliable source who broke news of the iPod photo to think secret , was really in the know after all. Apple has announced the iPod Photo.

The iPod photo has a 65k-color screen with 220 x 176 pixel resolution, 15-hour battery life, iTunes 4.7, iTunes will auto-sync album art , stores up to 25,000 photos transfered through iTunes, supports Adobe Album or Elements on the PC.

The included iPod Photo Dock or AV cable will give you the option to plug your iPod Photo into a television or projector .

$500 for the 40GB version, $600 for the 60GB version . Shipping in 1-2 weeks.
